When Playrix came to us, they had a vision: a custom floating duck, styled after their beloved Rix character, to delight employees and fans alike. There was just one problem— our first sample duck didn’t float.
As soon as we tested the prototype, it became clear: the duck’s head was too heavy. No matter how gently we placed it in the water, it tipped forward, nose-diving instead of floating proudly. We knew this wasn’t just about making a cute collectible — it was about creating a functional branded promotional item that would make people smile every time they saw it bobbing in the bath.
Engineering a perfect float
We rolled up our sleeves and got creative. Our team went back to the drawing board, pushing the head back and widening the body for better balance. But that wasn’t enough.
To truly master the float, we added a hidden weight inside the duck’s base. The result? No matter how you toss it in the water, the duck rights itself, floating upright every time. We sent Playrix two new samples, and this time, the ducks passed the float test with flying colors.
Custom packaging that elevates the product
Great promotional gifts start with great presentation — especially for a character as charming as Rix. Playrix designed the box artwork, and we worked together to create a custom box with a circular window. Now, every duck peers out, ready to greet its new owner. Our supplier crafted a sample box to make sure every detail was just right.
