A practical set of conference swag ideas for operators, providers and affiliate teams exhibiting at Fiera Roma this November.
SiGMA World 2026 runs from 2 to 5 November at Fiera Roma, with 30,000+ delegates, 1,200+ exhibitors and around 85% of attendees flying in from abroad. A delegate travelling with hand luggage and four days of stands ahead of them will not carry your branded merchandise home unless it is small, useful or worth the suitcase space. Below is a tiered set of trade show giveaways built for that reality, with real examples, plus notes on production timing and delivery to the venue.
The one thing most booths get wrong. They order one item in bulk and hand it out to everyone, so the delegate who scans a badge and walks on gets the same thing as the operator you have been chasing for six months. Split the budget across tiers and the same spend does more work.
Why SiGMA is not a generic trade show
People fly in. With most of the floor arriving from another country, luggage space is the real constraint on your conference giveaways. Bulky items get left in the hotel room.
It runs four days. Anything a delegate uses during the show, a tote bag or a bottle, gets seen repeatedly by the exact audience you paid to stand in front of.
The crowd is iGaming, affiliate and fintech. Generic tech swag is invisible here, and personality wins over utility more often than at a corporate B2B show.
You are one of 1,200+ exhibitors. SiGMA World in Rome shares the venue with AIBC, FX World and Affiliate Grand Slam. Nobody remembers the twelfth pen. They remember the thing they photographed.

Tier one: the volume handout
Goes to everyone who stops at the counter. Cheap per unit, flat or light, useful enough not to be binned on the way out.
Tote bags. The most reliable item at any expo, and the one delegates actively look for by mid morning once they are carrying five catalogues and a laptop. A well made tote with a strong print gets used all week and reused at home. A good option is a velcro tote bag as the ones we’ve produced for George UX Conf. With swappable patches they create endless opportunities for collecting and customization.
Sticker and enamel pin sets. Zero luggage weight, and this crowd genuinely covers laptops with them. Pins read as collectible rather than promotional, and a small numbered set gives people a reason to come back.
Custom socks. Flat, packable, and they get worn. A loud pattern in your brand colours beats a discreet logo, because the point is that somebody notices.

Tier two: the conversation starter
Fewer units, for people who stay and talk. This is where you spend on something that gets picked up and photographed.
Custom figurines and rubber ducks. A figurine built around your mascot or an industry in-joke ends up on a desk and is remembered six months later. It is also the hardest category to pull from a catalogue, which is why it stands out. See how far the shape can go in the duck we built around Adsterra's brand and in 3D figurines made for a Playrix anniversary.
Insulated bottles and travel drinkware. A bottle gets used all four days. Choose a compact format, for the luggage reason above.
Antistress toys. Cheap to produce, endlessly picked up, and they hold a booth visitor in place long enough for a conversation. Propeller Ads used them as conference giveaways.
Caps and beanies. Wearable, packable, and they work best when your team wears the same one, because the cap then visibly connects the person to your stand.

Tier three: the scheduled meeting
Small quantities, for people already in the calendar. This is a closing gift, not a giveaway, and it should feel like one.
Hoodies and heavyweight tees. High-quality textile items can be kept by visitors for a long time and worn in daily life, creating exposure for your brand long after the conference. Sizing is the risk, so collect sizes with your meeting confirmations rather than guessing.
Gift sets in proper packaging. Three or four coordinated items in a box that looks designed rather than assembled. The packaging does most of the work and is the cheapest part of the set.
Custom from scratch or a branded catalogue item?
Both are valid, and mixing them across tiers is usually the right call.
|
Custom from scratch |
Catalogue item, branded |
|
|---|---|---|
|
Lead time |
Longest. Tooling, samples and approval rounds come before production | Shortest. Stock exists, only decoration is added |
|
Design freedom |
Full. Shape, material, function and packaging are open | Print area, colour and decoration method only |
|
Typical minimum run |
Higher, tooling has to be amortised | Lower |
|
Best used for |
Tier two and three: the item that makes the stand memorable | Tier one volume, where usefulness beats recognisability |
|
Main risk |
Timing. Miss the approval window and the item misses the show | Lack of originality. The booth next door may have ordered it too |
Planning backwards from 2 November: custom production from scratch needs roughly 2-3 months from brief to delivery, while branding a catalogue item in the EU can be done in 4-5 weeks. Add 7 days for shipping into Italy. Confirm exact dates with us before committing to a concept. Reading this in October? Tier one and catalogue branding are still open, and custom is worth starting now for the next show.
Four things worth fixing before you order
Order tier one deep and tier three shallow. Running out of totes on day two is a real cost. Forty unclaimed hoodies is a bigger one.
Design for a photograph. On a floor this size, the giveaway that ends up in a camera roll does more than the one in a drawer.
Check the print, not the mockup. Ask for a physical sample or a printed proof, especially on textile and on anything with a gradient. Decoration methods differ more than most briefs assume.
Leave a week you do not need. Every show schedule loses time somewhere, usually in artwork approval. Book that buffer at the start, when it is free.
